high-profile projects.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and self-motivated designer with up to 5 years of postgraduate industry experience to join our team in New York.

In particular, we would like to meet candidates that have an interest in design research and developing creative, user-centered solutions for placemaking, wayfinding, and information design projects.

As part of this role, you will be working in the New York City studio under the direction of the Design Director and alongside other team members based in NYC, San Francisco and the UK.

A willingness to travel is necessary as projects may be based across the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct design research activities

  • Conduct site surveys and analysis

  • Develop and visualize design concepts

  • Support user testing and prototyping

  • Support and assist information planning

  • Develop information design solutions and graphic layouts including; cartographic elements, maps, diagrams, and pictograms

  • Create artworks for physical, print, and digital products ready for production

  • Attend meetings with clients and project collaborators including engineers, architects, and fabricators

  • Report project progress to Project Leads and Senior Management

  • Present work to internal teams and project collaborators

What we can offer you

  • Salary range of $70 – $100k tailored to experience

  • 15 days annual leave + 1 additional day for every year to a maximum of 20 days

We are looking for

  • Degree level qualification/s in Graphic Design/Visual Communication/related field or equivalent work experience

  • Desire and enthusiasm to learn new skills and progress as a designer and a leader

  • Passion for developing design solutions that improve everyday experience of places

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator
    and InDesign

  • Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of programs

  • Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Knowledge of GIS and/or Figma software would be advantageous
