We are a multi-disciplinary team of strategists and designers with a global reputation for improving the experience of cities, transit systems, airports, and destinations.

With a growing client-base on the East Coast, this role provides opportunities to contribute to a number of live and upcoming high-profile projects.
Responsibilities
Provide effective project management, tracking schedule and budget relative to task order/brief
Update project management tools such as schedules, resource allocation, and forecasts
Provide strategic direction and guidance to the project team, leading key aspects of: research, ideation, conceptualization, detailed design, planning, user testing and prototyping, and implementation
Develop wayfinding design solutions to a detailed design stage
Lead information planning, including; naming, content and
messaging, location and network planning, location and placementLead artworking processes for physical, print, and digital products ready for production
Lead day-to-day communications and weekly project management meetings with client team, stakeholders and partners
Lead meetings with clients and project collaborators including engineers, architects, and fabricators
Present work to clients, project collaborators including engineers, architects and fabricators
Support narrative development for presentations, documentation, and other project outputs
Provide quality assurance and approvals for draft and final outputs
About the role
We are seeking a dedicated, experienced and self-motivated Lead Wayfinding Designer with 8+ years relevant experience to join our growing team in New York City.
Candidates should have demonstrable experience in complex wayfinding projects, systems thinking, and design of creative, user-centered solutions.
As part of this role, you will be working with, overseeing and delegating to Senior Designers, Designers and Junior Designers.
You will be working in the New York City studio under the direction of the Design Director and alongside other team members based in NYC, San Francisco and the UK.
A willingness to travel is necessary as projects may be based across the U.S.
What we are looking for
Passion for developing innovative wayfinding design solutions that improve people’s everyday experience of places
Degree level qualification/s in Graphic Design/Visual Communication/related field or equivalent work experience
Experience of developing and delivering wayfinding systems and design standards in complex environments
Strong people-skills and ability to lead and mentor team members
Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator and InDesign
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of programs
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of GIS and/or Figma software would be advantageous
Knowledge of Revit or other Building Information Modelling software would be advantageous
What we can offer you
Salary range of $130 – $155k, tailored to experience
